The Harvest Ministers - Sarah 084

The Harvest Ministers were a Dublin based band formed by William Merriman whose music not only encompassed indie pop but also that with traditional Irish folk music.

Their debut single You Do My World The World Of Good was released on Crayon Records in 1990 and received a re-release on Sarah Records a year later. The band remained with that label until sigining to Setana in 1995.

Their last outing was on 2003's My Star Is Shining album. Merriman is currently recording material for a new album.

This release was Sarah 084 and was released in 1993. It is the CD version of the single.

Tiger Trap

Tiger Trap were a California based band who formed in 1992 lasting little over a year. They recorded for K Records releasing one album and two singles for that label. Additionally they contributed tracks to split singles & compilations.

The band, which developed a cult following, are best known the inclusion of Rose Melberg in their line up.

The two tracks here come from the final single Sour Grass.

The Siddeleys

The Siddeleys were a short lived but an incredibly influential band. They released just two singles and a number of tracks on various compilations. I am not going to write about the history of the band when they do it themselves here.

The majority of their output including Peel Sessions was collated on the Slum Clearance compilation released in 2001 jointly between Clarendon Records and the Matinee label.

1987's single What Went Wrong This Time turned up on the CD86 compilation released last year. My Favourite Wet Wednesday Afternoon was one of the b-sides.

I endeavour to update it on a weekly basis with tracks posted by me being available for a limited period. Feel free to leave comments or contact me. If posting a track offends get in touch and I will take it down.
